My name is Roy Henry Vickers. I am Tsimshian, Haida, Heiltsuk, Wuikinuxv, and English. I also am adopted into the house of Walkus, so I move through this world as a member of the house of Walkus of Owikeeno and I carry the hereditary Chieftainship, Tlakwagila.
David R. Maracle—tehanenia’kwe: tarons (Cutter of Stone) is Bear Clan, born in AKWESASNE, USA but resides as a member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte Tyendinaga Canada. Since 1985, through David’s evolving creativity, he has been able to convey the very essence of the ancestral teachings of the Indigenous.
Ovila Mailhot is a Coast Salish graphic artist, originally from Seabird Island reservation in British Columbia, whose roots are both of Sto:lo & Nlaka’pamux Nation. Ovila notes that creating new work and revitalizing the techniques and approaches to Indigenous art is something he feels compelled to do.
