I grew up in rural British Columbia, living in a place of true natural beauty, surrounded by a community of creative people, artists and inspiring energy. My life was simple then, and nature was my grounding element. My mother Naomi intentionally raised me this way, without the influences of mainstream society, as she wanted to ensure my life was free from constraints and inhibitions so I could learn who I truly was.
But it was only after my mother passed away that I realized just how much care she had taken to instill in me a deeply rooted connection to nature and to my own innate creativity. Some months after her death, I discovered she had left me a treasure trove of original drawings, paintings and sketches.
