Fall Fitness Inspiration: The NoMiNoU Guide
It’s November people. That means there are just two months left in 2016! #timeflies
It’s too late to try making your long-forgotten New Year’s resolutions happen now; instead why not turn your attention to identifying a fall fitness goal you can accomplish between now and the end of the year? Pick something that’s realistic, actionable and measurable, and then get going! And if you need some fall fitness inspiration, we’ve got you covered with a few simple tips to up your fitness game over the next two months.
Build a Pump Up Playlist
Scientific studies and personal experience alike tell us that music can positively impact our workouts, regardless of the type of exercise. To amp up your gym-spiration, try pulling together a playlist with some of your fave up-tempo tracks and throw in a few remixes of the EDM variety for good measure. We’re partial to Dave Aude’s remixes of everything from Katy Perry to Backstreet Boys because with these tracks pumping in your earbuds, you won’t want to leave the gym!
Step Up Your Gym Swag
Pop quiz: what’s the first step in getting yourself to the gym? Getting dressed! But throwing on old pair of yoga pants and a baggy tee isn’t really going to motivate you. Instead, consider how you’ll feel when you’re rocking a pair of bold leggings and a cute top – it’s a foolproof way to boost your confidence. And if you need some inspiration, check out our fans rocking NoMiNoU everywhere from dance studios to hiking trails!
Try Something New
Now that you have tunes to get you pumped and are dressed to kill, it’s time to sweat it out! Rather than the same old gym circuit or mat class, why not do something different to achieve your fall fitness goal? Buzzy workout trends we’ve spotted recently include Lagree, fitness raves, the Megaformer (like a Pilates reformer on steroids), boxing and cat yoga. Variety is the spice of life, so branch out and try a new class!
Don’t Forget to Give Yourself Props!
Be sure to take time over the next two months to acknowledge your hard work. The important thing is to recognize your effort, rather than focusing solely on the end result. Wellness is a journey, not a destination. As long as you’re headed in the right direction, you’re golden!
