NoMiNoU is so excited to partner with ChopValue for our Yoga Month giveaway, because they use a very surprising source of waste – disposable chopsticks! — to make the coolest products. In Vancouver alone, roughly 100,000 chopsticks are thrown away every single day. And the majority of disposable chopsticks are made from bamboo, which can be recycled (but usually isn’t). Through ChopValue’s program with restaurants, they collect these chopsticks and repurpose them into items like tables, coasters and decorative wall art.
